Belén Elorrieta is a Madrid-based designer and illustrator from Almería. She studied Design at Complutense University of Madrid and she’s currently combining her work as a graphic designer with studying the Art History degree.

Most of her work is mainly focused in graphic design for the music industry, making posters for national and international tours as well as branding campaigns for music festivals. Outside her main job, she experiments with illustration and 2d animation in a more playfull way.

Her pieces show a constant balance between old traditional techniques and digital illustration. She feels that using collage techniques, ink or gouache, feels as a pure ritual that can’t be fulfilled using computer programs.

Understanding the concept and background of what she’s doing is the driving force of Belen’s artistic processes. Thus her current studies are making a huge impact on her productions.

Simplicity in shapes, fun and hectic colours -to put her art into words- are an accurate description of her style.
